Barrel Hoops Merlot is medium ruby in color with a slight staining of the tears. This wine is youthful with lush black currant, dark plum and red cherry. There is a touch of sage with moderate minerality and moderate oak.

Pairs nicely with a wide range of foods like poultry, pork, red meat, and toasted cheese dishes. Two notable exceptions are blue veined cheese and spicy dishes.
